WORK Microwave is an internationally renowned company for the development, manufacture and worldwide distribution of high-tech products with microwave technology and digital signal processing.
 
Our Romanian engineering office WORK Microwave S.R.L. is located in Timișoara. Engineers in this office are providing FPGA implementations for state-of-the art signal processing algorithms we use in the field of satellite communication. In order to support our continuous growth process at our Timișoara office, we are looking for a  
 
Digital Design Engineer (m/f/d)
 
for our FPGA design team who shall start to work in a challenging technical environment. This opportunity requires a driven engineer willing and able to tackle complex technical issues using expertise and ingenuity. You will be working with a team which appreciates creativity, gathering experiences and getting the job done. 

What will expect you in this role:

  • Design, implementation and verification of complex digital designs targeting FPGA devices
  • Integrate algorithms for digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Close collaboration with our DSP and product teams
  • Joint responsibility for the technical team goals: on quality, on time, performance, maintainability and scalability

What you can contribute:

  • Enthusiasm for new technologies in the field of high-speed data and signal processing
  • Proven work experience in the design of digital designs on FPGAs
  • Expert knowledge in at least one hardware definition language (VHDL or Verilog)
  • Very good knowledge of up-to-date FPGA technologies (Xilinx or others)
  • Practical knowledge in the implementation of complex algorithms in digital signal processing (e.g. FEC decoders, digital filters, ...) would be a plus
  • Practical knowledge of verification techniques would be a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German would be an additional benefit

  • Used platforms (selection): Xilinx Ultrascale, Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+, Xilinx Alveo, Xilinx Versal
