German Japanese Defense and Security Technology Forum 2022

This year’s German Japanese Defense and Technology Forum will mark its 10th edition, in the same year as the 60th anniversary of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (AHK Japan), which is also an important anniversary in German Japanese relations.

German Japanese Defense and Security Technology Forum 2022 will be held on September 26th and 27th at Sola City Ochanomizu, which has been well received by participants and visitors in 2018 and 2019.

The topics of presentations will be categorized into four key thematic areas Ground Components, Maritime Components, Air/Space Components, and Network Technologies & Cybersecurity.

With the signature of the long awaited Agreement on the Security of Information between Japan and Germany in 2021 the necessary backing for industrial cooperation has been formalized. Both sides are looking into operationalizing industrial cooperation, also considering the growing necessities to jointly protect our democratic values.
