For our Application Software Team we are looking for a:
Senior C++ Software Developer for Test and Verification Software for High-Frequency Applications (m/f/x)
What will expect you in this role:
- Independent conceptual design, implementation, and maintenance of high-quality application software for provisioning, serial testing, and documentation of devices for analog, digital, and optical satellite communication
- Close collaboration with the embedded software department or, depending on your skill set, management of complete software projects, including device firmware
- Independent execution of prototype tests, mainly in collaboration with the hardware development
- Independent handover of software tools to the serial production department, including documentation and training
- Configuration of frequency converters using XML files
- Implementation of software-based data analysis, including SQL database connection, with the goal of quality assurance and increasing production capacity
- Shared responsibility for the technical team's objectives: adherence to deadlines, budget adherence, quality, performance, maintainability, and scalability
What you need to be successful in this role
- Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or a comparable qualification
- Solid knowledge and at least 3 years of professional experience in software development with C/C++, especially in object-oriented programming
- Extensive practical experience with the Qt framework
- Proficient use of the XML file format, ideally with other serialization formats such as JSON or YAML
- Good knowledge in Git, unit testing, and continuous integration
- Good knowledge of high-frequency technology is a significant advantage
- Experience in operating and controlling measuring instruments, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc., is desirable
- Good knowledge of the I2C and SPI bus systems is desirable
- Basic knowledge of Python 3 is desirable
- Independent work style and analytical thinking skills
- Good written and spoken German and English
